Dr Stella Oyedepo during the review of the 2018 budget performance claimed N29 million was expended to renovate the toilets of the National Assembly.
This however caused a stir among the lawmakers who wondered how such an amount could be used to renovate toilets.
The House of Representatives committee on tourism and culture in sheer disbelief queried Dr Stella Oyedepo who is the general manager of the National Theatre, for spending N29 million to renovate toilets.
This incident happened during the review of the 2018 budget performance. Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama who is the chairman of the committee said: “There’s need to critically look at how you spent N29 million to fix toilets.” Oyedepo in her response said: “There were 500 toilets in the complex and it was making the place unattractive because they were in bad shape. What we did was to completely overhaul the toilets to make the complex look better
